TM to provide Everly Group with entertainment solutions

PUTRAJAYA: The signing of the service agreement between the Everly Group, a hotel service provider, and Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM ) on Friday sees the elevation and improvement of high-speed internet services as well as in-room television entertainment for Everly and Prescott hotel guests.

Under the agreement entitled ‘Provision of Hospitality Entertainement Solution (HES)’, all hotels under the Everly Group will receive TM’s latest ICT and entertainment package comprising of in-building broadband solution (IBS), HyppTV or IPTV service and a call centre powered by TM’s high-speed broadband (HSBB) network connectivity.

Signing on behalf of Everly was its Managing Director Dennis Tan while Telekom was represented by its Executive vice President (SME) Azizi Hadi.

The signing which took place at the Everly Hotel Putrajaya here also saw the Everly Group becoming the first hotel chain to subscribe to TM’s HES for all its eight hotels namely Everly Hotel Putrajaya, Parkcity Everly Hotel at Miri and Bintulu, Everly Resort Hotel Melaka as well as Prescott Hotels at Medan Tuanku (Kuala Lumpur), Kuala Lumpur Sentral, Kajang and Klang.

According to TM, the solution is exclusively targeted at the hospitality industry players such as hotel businesses, retreat owners, resort owners or operators, hospitals, apartments, condominiums and any high tenancy buildings that require wired or wireless internet access and uninterrupted TV viewing.

Speaking at the event, Azizi said the agreement indicates a significant change for Malaysian SMEs involved in the hospitality industry.

“This comprehensive solution is specifically developed to elevate the hotel guest’s experience and also to ease hotelier’s technical management concerns as the solution provides HSBB internet via TM’s connectivity, world class entertainment via HyppTV as well as 24-7 call centre and customer support”.

“In short, the hotel can focus on what it does best which is providing convenience and hospitality to their patrons and let TM do the rest” commented Azizi.

Azizi added that the provision of high-speed internet access is in line with TM’s ‘business made easier” aspiration to become the preferred communications and complete solutions partner to SMEs throughout the country.

Also present at the signing was Parkcity Everly Hotel Miri’s Manager Mok Pin Chuan.
